Gowanus Is Getting An “Ice Cream Paradise”
Say what you will (or don’t) about the neighborhood’s new Whole Foods, but this seems like a pretty great, uncontroversial development: Eater reports that Ample Hills (of “Ooey Gooey Butter Cake”-flavored ice cream fame) will be opening a giant outpost at 305 Nevins St. in Gowanus, complete with indoor and outdoor seating, a party space, and a “visible manufacturing facility.”
The space, opening up this May, is planned as a so-called “ice cream paradise,” and is conveniently located right down the block from said Whole Foods, and our friends over at Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club. We can definitely think of worse ways to spend all our money this summer.
