Don’t Worry, Dumont’s Not Closed For Good

A scene from warmer times.
From Eater, a reassuring update that Dumont, which has been closed for the past couple of days, will, in fact, be re-opening soon and is just temporarily shut down for renovations.
The restaurant has since posted on its website, explaining, “Due to certain unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, Dumont is currently closed for renovations in both the kitchen and the garden, we expect to reopen in a short period of time. Please check back for updates. Thank you for your continued patronage. We look forward to seeing you all soon! Love, DuMont.”
Since the tragic death of owner and founder Colin Devlin this past summer, the restaurant has been staunch about continuing to operate, so it’s a relief to know that they still plan on sticking around. We’ll be celebrating with a burger when they’re back up and running.
