Carbo-Load for the Marathon with 10 of Brooklyn’s Best Pasta Dishes
Brucie: Lasagna
I don’t know. Do I really need to convince you to eat lasagna? This is the best kind of carb to eat at a restaurant because lasagna takes so long and so much effort to make at home. Best to get yourself on over to Brucie and sample one of the best lasagnas I’ve ever had. It’s a perfectly balanced dish of layered noodles, creamy bechamel, and roasted tomatoes, all topped with a crisp, but chewy layer of bubbly, browned cheese. It’s the kind of dish that simultaneously gives you the energy to run a marathon, but also leaves you with the desire to curl up in your bed and not eat anything else for another two weeks. Which, fine! Because maybe you’re not running the marathon? Maybe you just carbed-out because carbs are delicious and filling and simple and satisfying. That’s all good too. This list is for everyone, the runners and the recliners. Really, it’s just for people who like to eat. Enjoy!
