10 Perfect Things to Do This Fall If You Are Single and Completely Alone

Nordic Cooking Classes at the North Nordic Food Festival
Scandinavian cuisine is huge right now, and so what better way to celebrate it then by participating in this new food festival that has attracted the best Nordic chefs in New York? Perhaps the best way for you to take in the festival is to sign up for a full (or half) day of cooking classes with some of the world’s most celebrated Scandinavian chefs. I highly recommend trying to get a spot in Fredrik Berselius of Aska’s class, because he’s a genius and knows how to do things with herring and hay that are beyond a normal person’s comprehension. And if you really want to geek out on the Nordic stuff? You can supplement the cooking experience with a class on Norse gods and mythology, taught at Brooklyn Brainery. You think the Old Testament is nuts? Wait till you learn about how Odin plucked out his own eye and hung himself upside down from a tree for nine days and nine nights so that he could gain wisdom. Not incidentally, his name means Master of Ecstasy. Anyway, this is the kind of stuff that could be embarrassing to be too excited about around a date. So, stay solo for this and geek the fuck out.
