Atlantic Terminal: M.O.B
Even if Penn Station wasn’t a disheartening food desert, why would any self-respecting Brooklynite slog into Manhattan for a trip on the LIRR? Granted, actual dining options inside the Atlantic Terminal are equally unpleasant (we’d sooner binge on McDonald’s than go anywhere near Chuck E. Cheese), but excellent alternatives abound on the surrounding streets. And we’re all about the affordable, Brooklyn Bridge-shaped flatbreads at M.O.B, with super healthy toppings like cashew yogurt, edamame and watercress (the “Bright Eyes”), and shitake mushrooms, sautéed kale and parsley (“the Strong Man”). Or yeah, you can always get those cheesy breadsticks and an All-Meat Combo pie at Chuck E. Cheese.
