Tonight at SummerScreen: The Craft!

The almanac says today will bring the arrival of SummerScreen, and with it, a screening of The Craft! Watch Robin Tunney, Neve Campbell, and a totally bonkers Fairuza Balk up on the big screen tonight at McCarren Park. We’ll be at the corner of Bedford Ave. and N. 12th St, right next to the tennis courts. Gates open at 6pm, we’ll have the bands on by 6:30pm, and we’ll start the movie by sundown.
And get there early because 285 KENT AVE and AD HOC will start off the evening with sets from Foreplay and Potty Mouth. Thank you to Todd P and SHOWPAPER for bringing music to this year’s SummerScreen! Don’t miss this week’s pre-show either; we’re showing an episode of Aqua Something You Know Whatever, presented by Adult Swim, plus the short film Italy, Texas, presented by 55DSL. And come hungry because we’ll have food from Pizza Moto, Handsome Hanks, Landhaus, Coolhaus, V Spot and Selamat Pagi. Plus, Sixpoint Brewery and City Winery will be pouring beer and wine all night long. And be sure to grab some complimentary treats from vitaminwater and Crunch Gym. Feeling lucky? We’re giving away a Meatwad piñata, courtesy of Adult Swim. To enter to win, just sign up with your name and e-mail address at the L Magazine table near the N. 12th St. entrance to the park.

You know, if you just want to hang out and chant or call the corners…
