The 8 Best Theaters in Brooklyn
We do a lot of Brooklyn boosterism around here, but there’s one thing I’ll concede that Manhattan is still better at, and that’s theater. Well, not because they actually do it better; heck, tons of the city’s best playwrights, actors and directors actually live here. But there’s a perception that Brooklyn lacks the infrastructure—the theaters and the scene—to sustain a lot of strong theater. Of course that’s not really true: we actually have a lot of quality performance happening here, from the world-class to the new and daring. Here are the best places to see some of it.
