Tonight at SummerScreen: Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, Plus Music from Oberhofer!
Tonight, if you’re looking to have more fun than being chased through a dinosaur sculpture park, then join us at SummerScreen for Pee Wee’s Big Adventure! We’re screening the the greatest bicycle-related mystery of our time, alongside an episode of NTSF:SD:SUV::, presented by Adult Swim and the short film Beyond the Mountains, More Mountains, presented by Diesel.
And yes, we say this every week, but this time we really mean it; get to the park early because JMC AGGREGATE is starting off the evening with a set from L Mag favorites Oberhofer, plus Lodro and Bueno. Thank you to Todd P and SHOWPAPER for bringing music to SummerScreen! And, appropriately, we’re giving away a brand new bicycle courtesy of Ride Brooklyn. To enter to win, just give your name and e-mail address at The L Magazine table near the entrance to the park. We’ll announce a winner just before the movie starts. Plus, we’re giving away another Meatwad piñata too; you can sign up to win it the very same way. As usual, Pizza Moto, Handsome Hanks, Landhaus, Coolhaus, V Spot and Selamat Pagi will be there all night to keep you fed. And, Sixpoint Brewery and City Winery will be there to keep your thirst at bay. Plus, Starbucks® Iced Coffee, vitaminwater and Crunch Gym will be serving up complimentary treats.
You’ll find SummerScreen at McCarren Park at the corner of N. 12th and Bedford Ave (right next to the tennis courts). Gates open at 6pm, the bands start playing at 6:30, and we’ll get Paul Reubens on the big screen by sundown. For the complete SummerScreen schedule, click here.
