Come to SummerScreen, Come Hungry
By now you probably (hopefully!) know that tomorrow marks the second night of SummerScreen, our annual free movie series in McCarren Park. And while we think the movies and music are reason enough to spend your Wednesday night with us, if you’re looking for dinner plans, SummerScreen is just the place to go.
All summer long, we’ll have six of Brooklyn’s finest restaurants in the park to make sure you don’t go hungry. Pizza Moto will be serving, yes, you guessed it, pizza, while Handsome Hanks will be frying up fish and fries all evening long. If you’re in the mood for a sandwich, try one of the farm-to-table concoctions from Landhaus. Looking for something a little more exotic? Greenpoint’s Selamat Pagi is serving up Balinese fare. And for the vegans and vegetarians, V Spot has you covered with meat and dairy-free empanadas and quinoa. And because no meal is complete without smooth and creamy ice cream smooshed between two giant cookies, Coolhaus will be there too.
So that covers food, but would it be SummerScreen without booze? No, it wouldn’t. That’s why Sixpoint Brewery will be serving up frosty cans of their signature brews, along with City Winery. And because everyone likes free stuff, Starbucks® Iced Coffee, vitaminwater and Crunch Gym will be on site to serve up some complimentary treats.
