How to Stay Cool When It’s So Hot You Want to Die

Popular opinion seems to be that this was a terrible, wasted spring, and that because the weather went from being wintry and cold to being muggy and hot seemingly overnight, everything is awful and life is barely worth living. Far be it from me to try and convince anyone that life is not, at least at times, worth abandoning, but I think that, just like how we all had to get through the depths of winter together, we can likewise survive summer’s oppressive heat by doing a few simple things that are guaranteed to help make the days and nights seem a little less hellish—especially for those of us who don’t have air-conditioning, and are thus resigned to a season of sweaty torment.
