Where to Spend Fat Tuesday in Brooklyn

Let’s be honest, NYC isn’t exactly an historical epicenter when it comes to celebrating that boisterous, titty-baring festival, Mardi Gras. But if Cinco de Mayo and St. Patrick’s Day are any indication, we’ve proven that we don’t need legitimate claims to a culture to get in on the hard partying, binge drinking action. Especially since Brooklyn has a small but mighty coalition of ragin’ Cajun locations, just perfect for donning a string of beads, throwing back straight bourbon, and tucking into a steaming plate of gumbo while listening to a Zydeco band or the dulcet tones of Harry Connick Junior. Although for god’s sake, do us a favor and keep your boobies under wraps — where do you think you are, the French Quarter?
