Northside Media Group Partners with Brooklyn Recovery Fund
We’re pleased to announce that the Northside Media Group has become a media partner of the Brooklyn Recovery Fund, which will raise money for the borough’s non-profit organizations working with the neighborhoods that were affected by Hurricane Sandy.
The Fund will be headed up by the Brooklyn Community Foundation, with help from the Office of the Brooklyn Borough President and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. Financial support has also been offered by Forest City Ratner Companies, The Brooklyn Nets and the Barclay Centers, which have pledged $100,000 each.
The Brooklyn Recovery Fund will offer immediate assistance to local organizations working directly with the first-responders and volunteer groups during initial relief efforts, while at the same time laying the groundwork to aid in the rebuilding of the affected communities in the coming weeks and months.
