Sharon Beason is one of our favorite local entrepreneurs. Not only is she the founder and publisher of the borough-centric website Brooklyn Exposed, she also throws some pretty excellent parties.
Her annual Tasting Brooklyn event unites a number of top area restaurants for an orgy of all-you-can-eat sampling, and her inaugural Brooklyn Shaken and Stirred gala last Tuesday did that one better — gathering the borough’s best drinks purveyors for an evening of specialty cocktails, artisanal spirits, craft beers and boutique wines — with just enough food thrown in to keep over-imbibing guests from puking on each others shoes.
And from what we remember from our alcohol-induced haze, the following tipples and tastes were serious standouts.
