August 2012: Spill In The Hudson Nearly Shuts Down Iron Man Competition
Just a week ago, “controlled discharge” courtesy of a broken sewer line in Westchester raised concerns that the city might have to cancel the Ironman U.S. Championships, a triathlon that partially takes place in the Hudson.
Warnings were lifted shortly before the scheduled competition, and all went on as planned. A success! Relatively.
