Someone Vandalized The Holocaust Memorial In Sheepshead Bay

In today’s horrible, awful news about humanity, the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is on the hunt for vandals who defaced the Holocaust Memorial Park in Sheepshead Bay.
Ugh.
Brooklyn Daily reports that early this morning anonymous vandals sprayed a Star of David and a few choice expletives over the park’s line of tombstones, which bear the names of Holocaust victims.
The incident comes on the heels of similar vandalism in Gerritsen Beach and outside a yeshiva in Marine Park, and Councilman Lew Filder said, “The placement of anti-Semitic graffiti at the Holocaust Memorial Park shows us graphically that the lessons of history have not been learned by all. Choosing this location is particularly hateful and shows the callous ignorance of the perpetrator.”
Look guys, no one is forcing you to be a productive, decent member of society, but if you’re going to be a total blight, can’t you at least just hang out in a dark basement playing video games instead of pulling this kind of shit? It really makes it hard for the rest of us to, you know, get up in the morning and feel okay about the world.
