Breaking: Brooklyn Has Too Many Magazines About Itself
Spurred by the launch of new local magazine Brooklyn Bound, The New York Times reported over the holiday that there are officially too many magazines and blogs devoted to our fair, self-obsessed borough. Well, it’s been a good run, guys.
Citing Brooklyn Magazine and The L Magazine (they even interviewed our very own Jonny Diamond), along with Brooklyn Rail, Edible Brooklyn, Brooklyn Vegan, and Free Williamsburg, among others, the Times asks, “How much navel-gazing can a single borough sustain?” I’d like to think the answer to this is “completely bottomless amounts.” If you build it they will come, right?
