The Sunset Park Subway Trip Hazard
There’s something unique about the east exit at the 36th Street stop on the D/N/R line: the 10th step is apparently slightly higher than the rest, creating a hilarious pratfall machine, as captured on video by Dean Peterson. Come to think of it, we’ve watched people stumble while sending a final text after visiting Green-Wood Cemetery, or have maybe even stumbled ourselves late at night when writing off the R train and hopping in one of the standby cabs idling outside.
Commenters report this exit has been roped off, possibly to be repaired? UPDATE: NBC confirms it’s for repairs.
