Build It Green Makes it Big in Gowanus

Beloved non-profit salvage and reuse emporium Build It Green has fast become an Astoria institution, appealing to contractors and weekend tinkerers alike with a vast warehouse filled with all manner of salvaged treasure. So it was, then, that news of their expansion into Gowanus was met with great huzzahs from the Brooklyn renovation/interiors set; and upon further review of their new warehouse space, things are even better than anticipated: the selection is bigger and better organized than ever before (sure, we loved the early chaos of Astoria, but Gowanus has the fancier stuff) and it’s really possible, now, to do pretty full renovations using only BIG materials. So instead of shelling out big bucks for your construction needs, you should shop at BIG: you’ll be keeping things out of landfills and giving your money to a non-profit that gives back to the community. Rarely is it true, but in this case, everybody wins.
