Roof Top Films is Awesome
From now through late August, rooftops all along the L and G lines host the 15th summer of this ever-expanding local screening series, which pairs independent films with live music and spectacular New York-night-to-remember views. The lineup, notably prestigious this year, features shorts and features from local filmmakers alongside local premieres and peeks at hits from Sundance and SXSW—where an increasing number of the best films, like Sean Durkin’s breakout hit Marta Marcy May Marlene, have been completed thanks to grants awarded out of Rooftop’s proceeds.
