The Journal for Jane Eyre Enthusiasts
Well, it’s more of a zine. As in, printed on paper. To be read. And it’s actually called Eyresses (which, awesome). Williamsburg mainstay and writer extraordinaire Mikki Halpin has tapped into Brooklyn’s deep, unreserved love of all things Jane Eyre (seriously, she’s having a moment… err, well, the novel is) and put together a great collection of writing on the enduring heroine and all she means to us now—living (and suffering) in 21st-century Brooklyn. Illustrious contributors include the likes of Mike Albo, Lauren Cerand, Kate Harding and William Makepeace Thackery. We now think blogs should be outlawed and zines reinstituted in their place.
