Alicia Medina Sotomayor is a graduate student in Creative Writing at The New School. She's writing a memoir about growing up in El Paso, Texas, the largest city on the U.S.-Mexico border. She lives in Manhasset, New York.
For the past four years, the National Book Critics Circle has partnered with The New School’s MFA Creative Writing program, allowing the students to interview each of the NBCC Awards Finalists.
