Photo: Giant Trees Down In Prospect Park

Posted by on Wed, Oct 31, 2012 at 11:50 AM

It would seem that there's more or less an endless amount of damage to document in the wake of Sandy, and this morning our intrepid publisher Nick Burry has sent in more photo, this time from Prospect Park. Like most of what we're seeing from the storm, it's pretty stunning.

It's not too surprising that there's a lot of debris from fallen trees and branches in Prospect Park, but what is surprising is this size of the trees the storm managed to take down. We'll spare you any poetic thoughts about fallen giants, but at the very least it's jarring, and will almost certainly take a long time to get back to normal.
