Earlier this week we all swooned over Brooklyn's latest pudgy, bearded resident
Mitik, a baby walrus taken in by the Brooklyn Aquarium. Aww. How adorable! What a great addition to the expanding aquarium! Isn't it nice when there's news everyone can just feel good about?
However, this is not enough. No no, we are far from sated when it comes to coverage of adorable (or occasionally hideous) local animal celebrities. So let's talk about all of them, shall we? Because it's Friday and we can't think of any reason why not, it's time to take a look at some of our favorite, headline-grabbing local fauna, and continue to feel great about this otherwise terrible world we live in.
