Your Five New Parisian Obsessions

To celebrate Paris Fashion Week (where our fashion guru Monsieur Jerome currently is—lucky!), we thought we'd showcase five unique French items you might consider for your wardrobe.
First, the sailor-striped tee knows as the Mariniere, which emphasizes youth, elegance and "joie de vivre": Jean-Paul Gaultier turned it into a icon, designing new reinterpretations season after season; Comme des Garcons made it cooler still, while Armor Lux stuck to the classic version. This season, a number of designers have reintroduced the shirt, no doubt inspired by the eternal Jean Seberg in Godard's Breathless.
