Everybody (and I do mean everybody, not just you, giftedly-stylish Brooklyn people): Erica Weiner makes gorgeous jewelry. Starting tonight at her Boerum Hill store—and for the first time ever—Weiner offers selections from her 1909 Collection (all of which could be worn and look incredible on the cast of Downton Abbey), and samples from her original EW designs (for under $100), all at straight-up highway robbery prices.
Though Weiner has for some time held biannual online-only sales for her beautiful and off-beat antique finds that she and her business partner scavenge for across the country, and for reduced-price and samples from her own lines, this is the first time you can get your grubby paws on any of it in person.
The party starts tonight at 5 and goes until 9pm in Boerum Hill (nota bene: cash only). You’ll find items like cocktail rings, engraved WWII-era bracelets, and a Victorian pocket watch, all marked between $250 and $500, which is a substantial reduction from her standard retail prices (once again, the woman offers a heck of a jewel). Plus, those items from her EW and 1909 lines.
Good news, though: if you can’t make it in person, the sale continues online, as per usual, next week. From Monday, May 23, at 10am through Wednesday, May 25 at 12am, you can peruse a cache of Weiner’s jewels, all vintage or antique, and all under $500.
And because Weiner is not only a gifted designer and collector of good-looking old jewelry, but also savvy, she will slowly release new pieces throughout the online sale, so follow her on Instagram to make sure you don’t miss your next staple, lifelong ring or bracelet or pin or what-have-you. And if you do watch the sale progress online, get ready to probably laugh: Weiner is also funny:
“We will be Instagramming our little brains out,” she says.
Erica Weiner: 360 Atlantic Avenue (between Hoyt and Bond Streets) Brooklyn. Stop by tonight from 5 – 9pm for your jewels.
