This Saturday and Sunday, February 27 and 28, three Beacon’s Closet locations— Greenpoint, Bushwick, and Manhattan—will mark their well-stocked, well-kept, second-hand threads up to 75 percent off. This is a big deal! Beacon’s hardly does a sale. But they do need to make a lot of space for their spring stock (Spring! Can you even handle the daydreams you are having with increasing frequency about frolicking outside in green pastures, er, random patches of city grass again?), and they would like you to take all of their bulky winter stock off their hands for cheap, please.
So be a good and smart New York City thrift shopper. Head to one of the above Beacon’s locations today or tomorrow, or both. I’ll see you there. A couple of weeks ago I nearly bought a shirt at the Greenpoint store that weighed, I’m gonna say, seven pounds because it was thoroughly covered in black sequins with gold sequins floral outlines, for thirty five big ones. I am so happy I did not do that! Because now that puppy will only be $8.75. I will look so sparkly, and so smart. And so can you.
