Breaking: Bread Plus Ice Cream Equals Pure Bliss
It’s not hard for us to get excited about things, especially when it concerns food. So it came as no surprise to us that when we heard Bien Cuit Bakery broke bread with the folks at Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream to craft what could (and should) be the newest flavor of fall, we lost our cool. Chocolate Toast combines the great taste of Bien Cuit’s pain de mie, toasted in olive oil and coated in Michel Cluizel USA dark chocolate salted ganache, all folded into a sweet cream ice cream that is best enjoyed in two scoops.
Ok, now, don’t bite our heads off for suggesting that fall flavors should comprise anything more than pumpkin spices and apple ciders but open up your minds and your palates post-haste because the mashup is only available at Van Leeuwen locations for a limited time. What can we say? All great things have an expiration date.
And while we can’t say Chocolate Toast ice cream will be a reoccurring seasonal indulgence, it is the perfect treat to cozy up with as you watch the changing of the leaves.
