Are You a Creator? If So, Brooklyn is the Place to Be
Move over, Silicon Valley—there’s a rapidly growing tech scene on the east coast that shows no signs of stopping. More and more tech and creative companies are setting up shop in Brooklyn, where startup culture is booming amidst the borough’s strong community of artists, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits. DUMBO, in particular, is known for its thriving creative community, which is why we were excited to welcome members of WeWork Dumbo Heights to the neighborhood earlier this month.
As the platform for creators, WeWork offers beautiful collaborative workspaces and provides members with services, events, and technology so they can focus on making a life, not just a living. There’s been a shift in recent years toward a new way of work—one focused on meaning and on a desire to be part of something greater than oneself. WeWork is accelerating that movement, and Brooklyn is the perfect place to pick up speed.
To complement the area’s growing startup scene, WeWork has opened its first Brooklyn location: eight floors at 81 Prospect Street. Though members of WeWork Dumbo Heights only moved in on August 1, they’re already making headlines with their passion, creativity, and commitment to building a better world.
