Crown Heights’ Pete Zaaz Is Reopening
Rejoice, pizza lovers! Pete Zaaz, the pizzaria in Crown Heights that served up delightfully weird pies but shuttered after differences between the business partners running the Classon Avenue joint, is under new management and coming back. A Facebook message on the shuttered restaurant’s page announced yesterday that the spot will “RE-OPEN soon after we undergo some renovations to brighten up the place!” Baked potato pizza for everyone!
The restaurant originally closed in August, after a dispute between pizza whiz Peter Entner and his business partners. With Enter away from the daily operations of the shop, the quality of the food went downhill quickly and the quirky eatery closed, most thought for good. But now, Eater confirms, Entner is coming back to his first spot after buying out his former pizza partners. He’s also opening a sandwich spot, Boomwich, at 311 Atlantic Avenue in the very near future.
