Tonight: The Dude Abides at The Big Lebowski at SummerScreen
If you’ve spent too many nights bowling (and enjoying the post-bowling Viking-themed fantasies) may we suggest you mix it up and join us at SummerScreen tonight for The Big Lebowski. Pull on your favorite bathrobe and pajama pants, pregame with a White Russian and head on over to McCarren Park. And if you’re looking for a ride home, make sure to sign up for a chance to win a free(!) bike courtesy of Ride Brooklyn. Just sign up at the Main entrance or find a friendly SummerScreen staffer!
And if you can make it by 6:30 you’ll catch this week’s great music, courtesy of Pop Sundays, and featuring prolific indie rockers Kleenex Girl Wonder and Brooklyn’s own under-the-radar super group Tanks Amigo (with members of Crystal Stilts, My Teenage Stride, and Cause Co-Motion!). A big thank you to our music partners: Showpaper, Trans-Pecos, and Todd P.
And what would an epic stoner movie be without some great munchies? Satisfy your cravings at our local Brooklyn food vendors: Handsome Hanks, PizzaMoto, Coolhaus, Between the Buns, V Spot, La Crepe C’est Si Bon, and Landhaus. And wash it all down with a beer or a cider from either our Sixpoint Bar or the Rekorderlig Cider Lounge (which also features a free ping pong station and VIP area).
As always, our friends at Lincoln will be on hand for demonstrate their new Active Park Assist technology in multiple cars from their new line. Take three minutes of your night to complete the demonstration and the good people at Lincoln will hook you up with a $20 food voucher for any of SummerScreen food vendors!
We’ll see you tonight on North 12th (between Bedford Ave. and Berry St.). Gates open at 6 PM, music at 6:30 PM and the film begins at sundown!
