Tonight: First Annual Beer Film Festival
This is arguably the best time to be a beer lover in New York City (and especially in Brooklyn). There have never been more great, locally-made beers to try or a better community of beer lovers eager to discuss them all. So, it’s only fitting that we now have a craft beer film festival where we can do both.
Tonight, Anthology Film Archives in the East Village will host the first annual Beer Film Festival, screening beer-related shorts while guests enjoy small bites and sip on local brews including our very own Sixpoint and Long Island City’s Rockaway Brewery, reports Bedford + Bowery. Portions of the proceeds will benefit the Heritage Radio Network.
So far, the list of films includes parody film Craft Beer Bandit, Beer Heroes, a film about Sierra Nevada’s epic beer camp and another about the creation of the Rockaway Brewing Company. Additionally, Jimmy Carbone of Beer Sessions Radio/ Jimmy’s No. 43, Jimmy Ludwig of The Happy Hour Guys and Seth Wright of Beer Nation will all make special appearances.
Tickets will set you back $15 and can be purchased here. The festival kicks off at 7 pm.
