Krupa Grocery Opens In Windsor Terrace
A couple of months ago, we shared the exciting news that the somewhat underserved, Prospect Park-adjacent neighborhood of Windsor Terrace was getting a slew of new eateries.
The race was pretty tight, with three restaurants in the running to open their doors first, but it looks like Krupa Grocery has come out ahead. According to local news blog, South Slope News, the restaurant officially opened its doors last week.
Krupa Grocery comes from the mind of local businessman, Bob Lenartz, who also happens to be co-owner of Windsor Wine Merchants, which sits directly across the street from his new venture.
Krupa, named after the mom-and-pop business that once occupied the space, will serve up “high-end coffee and farm-to-table dining options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the week, and [toss] in a traditional brunch on weekends.” And as Lenartz previously told DNAinfo, the restaurant will be open late, slinging food until 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Wines, cocktails and outdoor seating will be added in the next few weeks.
Krupa Grocery is located at 231 Prospect Park West between 16th Street and Windsor Place.
