Free Tonight: Snacks, Cocktails, and the Future of Small Batch Brooklyn
If, like us, you like to spend the better part of your morning figuring out your after-work plans, we’ve got a pretty good proposition: Small Batch America has curated tonight’s BKLYN Artisanal Army event as part of BRIC House’s ongoing Stoop Series, featuring insight, music, drinks, and food from some of Brooklyn’s finest. And all for free, no less!
The event, which kicks off at 7pm, will feature a panel including Brooklyn Flea and Smorgasburg founder Eric Demby, Edible Brooklyn editor Gabrielle Langholtz, Brooklyn Brine founder Shamus Jones, and Van Brunt Stillhouse founder Daric Schlesselman, all of whom have better insight than most on what makes Brooklyn’s small batch scene tick, and where this whole thing is headed.
After the talk, Swear & Shake will be performing a set, while guests sip on cocktails made with Van Brunt spirits and Morris Kitchen cocktail syrups, as well as samples from Other Half Brewing (trust us that you don’t want to miss those). There’ll be food on hand, too, from local sources like Peck’s, Bien Cuit, Anarchy in a Jar, and Gotham Greens.
For anyone with even the smallest interest in Brooklyn’s food scene (that’s all of us, yes?), this one’s not to be missed.
