Franny’s 2.0
Whiskey Soda Lounge*
MD Kitchen
Country Boys
Motorino
This year was all about reboots and relocated restaurants. Franny’s upped the ante with a plus-sized space and second wood-burning oven, after a two year hiatus, Motorino completed their transition from “leaning tower of pizza” parlor on Graham Street to a shiny, structurally sound eatery on Broadway (love the new porchetta calzone), Country Boys expanded from weekend taco truck to full fledged brick-and-mortar restaurant, Dom Demarco provided safe haven to customers unwilling to wait three hours for a Di Fara’s pizza at his gently priced red sauce outpost, MD Kitchen, and Andy Ricker (honored here) continued his Columbia Waterfront District domination with the Brooklyn location of Whiskey Soda Lounge, beloved for its Thai-style bar snacks and drinking vinegar-based cocktails.
