The 10 Best Spots in Brooklyn to Take Your Wedding Photos
DUMBO Side Streets
If you’re looking for a backdrop that suggests “Brooklyn!” more so than a view of the buildings in another borough, consider walking a few blocks past Pier 1 into DUMBO, where former warehouses have been converted into offices for tech startups and apartments for the well-off. Many of the streets are still Belgian blocked, and the old warehouse facades remain untouched (aside from a bit of cleanup), making this a go-to neighborhood to capture bygone-if-not-imaginary Brooklyn grit. (Some blocks are even still cut through with long out-of-service train tracks—often mistaken for trolley tracks—once used to carry goods in and out.) It’s not just advertising agencies and film crews that flock here: we’ve sidestepped many a posing married couple on our way to and from the office.
