Boerum Hill Restaurant Lunetta Has Closed, Its Contents Are Now Up For Auction
Rather unexpectedly, Grub Street is reporting that Boerum Hill’s Lunetta—home of some of the best spaghetti carbonara in the borough—quietly closed up shop at some point over the past couple of weeks.
The Smith St. staple at one point had a Manhattan outpost (it closed down in 2009), but now the Brooklyn space is now up for rent and its contents slated for auction. A sadden and sudden loss, for sure, but here’s hoping the newly-available space paves the way for an equally good new source of neighborhood comfort food. There’s got to be some kind of silver lining to all of this.
