Coney Island Craft Lagers Is Getting A New Brewery
In a truly wonderful turn of events, the recently sold Coney Island Craft Lagers is getting their very own brewery after six years of production in a tiny facility at Sideshows by the Seashore and the Shmaltz Brewery before that.
10 months after Hurricane Sandy destroyed the Sideshows location, Shmaltz handed the label over to Alchemy Brewery and now, according to The Brooklyn Paper, Coney Island will open a new brewery near the Coney Island amusement park and beach. If all goes well, the brewery will lose its status as “the smallest commercial brewery by volume in the world” and begin pumping out plenty of beer by summer.
Yet another reason summer can’t come soon enough.
