Neighborhood Crawl: Vanderbilt Avenue in Prospect Heights
Prospect Heights is an interesting, diamond-shaped tidbit of a neighborhood; hemmed in by Flatbush Avenue to the west, Atlantic Avenue to the north, Eastern Parkway to the south, and Washington Avenue to the east. So when it comes to restaurants in the far reaches of any one direction, it’s hard to say whom they really belong to. Is Tom’s diner actually in Crown Heights? Is Franny’s truly in Park Slope? But there’s no question that Prospect Heights can lay unadulterated claim to the growing cluster of excellent eateries currently lining Vanderbilt Avenue.
That’s why it’s next on our list of drink-to-dessert neighborhood mini crawls, where we tackle one gastronomically blessed BK block at a time by spreading the love — and your dollars — among some of the tastiest restaurants within them.
