Nada Surf, The Men, and More Play Brooklyn Bowl Tonight To Benefit The Yellow Dogs
An easy way to help out the Yellow Dogs after last week’s terrible shooting: a benefit concert tonight at Brooklyn Bowl, which in a week’s time has managed to draw scores of musicians including Nada Surf, Dirty Fences, members of The Clean, and DJ sets from the likes of The Men.
“In memory of Ali Eskandarian, Arash and Soroush Farazmand, join us 5 PM on monday at Cameo Gallery (93 North 6th Street, Williamsburg, BK) for a candlelight ceremony,” the band’s surviving members wrote on their Facebook page. “Afterwards, we will walk to Brooklyn Bowl, where some of their favorite acts will be performing in their honor.”
Tickets range from $15 to $30, and all proceeds go towards helping the victims and their families. On their donation page, the Yellow Dogs write, “you will be helping families memorialize and honor their beloved deceased victims. And you will also aide the surviving friends/roommates pick up the pieces and recompose their lives.”
