She brings up a friend’s BBQ party at which she was stuck in a similar situation. “I was tasked with… halving apricots? And it was really hard. I was really stressed out by it! It was an unexpected stressor.”
Garlic sizzles with the cous cous in the toasting phase. Next, it’s boiled and ‘mater halves join the mix. Amy cocks her head and grabs a piece of paper from a refrigerator magnet. “You know what?” she says. “Meditteranean Roasted Tomato Peal Cous Cous is No. 2! That one is actually a cold one, more like salad…” The paper has a title: “Top 10 Homecooked Meals of 2012.”
