The Meat Hook Will Soon Be Selling Beer and Subs in Williamsburg
Come January, beloved Brooklyn Kitchen offshoot The Meat Hook will be making itself even more lovable: Grub Street reports that they’ll be opening a “beer-and-submarine-sandwich-based offshoot” next door to Gimme! Coffee off the Lorimer L stop.
The menu will be short and simple (as is the case at all self-respecting sub shops), consisting of staples like roast beef, turkey, Italian, roast pork, and grilled-cheese-and-ham, with room to play around with “whatever we have too much of at the butcher shop,” according to co-owner Tom Mylan. A welcome addition to the neighborhood, and without a doubt, a far better option for soaking up drinks at Second Chance than Manna.
