Don’t Forget To Go To Bushwick
The biggest shake-up for this year’s crawl is the addition of Bushwick to the map, which makes sense. The neighborhood has seen a pretty incredible boom of new thrift and vintage shops over the past year or so. “We had Bushwick on the mind for the past couple Vintage Crawls but really, the vintage landscape just wasn’t quite robust enough to expand,” Irby tells us. “And boy are we glad we waited! Nearly 5 new shops have popped-up within the last handful of months; Fox and Fawn Bushwick, Worship, Collections, Nouveau Vieux , Chess and the Sphinx (and let’s not forget one of, if not THE Bushwick retail purveyor: Friends Vintage, inside Mary Meyer).” In other words, while a lot of the crawl is clustered around Williamsburg and Greenpoint, if you don’t take the train a little farther east, you’ll be seriously missing out.
