Eight Ways You Should Spend Your Remaining Fall Weekends in Brooklyn
Drink Cider In The Park
A seasonal no-brainer, and while it’s not technically legal, it’s easy enough to avoid getting caught (just cover the label of whatever you’re drinking), and there’s a pretty solid argument to be made that this is something we should be allowed to do. And of course, what you decide to drink is up to you, but we’d make a strong case that it should be cider. Not just because it’s fall, but because for the past few years New York’s cider industry has been quietly booming and turning out some truly great stuff (go ahead and forget all your brutal, fuzzy memories of nights spent with Strongbow). Doc’s Hard Draft is a classic, and if you can find them, Aaron Burr’s “Homestead Pear” cider and Harvest Moon’s Four Screw are well worth tracking down. If all else fails, go to your nearest respectable beer store, ask for a little advice, and then go sit under some changing leaves while you drink the most autumnal drink there is.
