Goldenrod
It’s always sad to bear witness to the end of an era (the closing of Brooklyn’s oldest bar, PJ Hanley’s), but it happens. And at least the newest tenant, Goldenrod, is making a concentrated effort to honor its legacy, from the name (a beer that helped popularize the 1890’s-era leasee, Otto Huber Brewing Company), to their commitment to local and domestic beers, to the painstakingly preserved space. Although, yeah, they do serve gluten-free falafel burgers too.
