How to Re-Create a Summer Camp Experience in NYC

Become Overly Invested in a Team Competition Involving Little Actual Skill
Time at camp revolves around one thing and one thing only. Whether it’s Color Wars, Capture the Flag, Camp Olympics or some variation thereof, there’s a mutual understanding among bunk mates that you were each put here on earth to lead your team to victory in an extended game of vaguely athletic competition. Enter StreetWars, a three-week long water-gun assassination tournament among willing participants of a host city. There hasn’t been a game in NYC since 2011, but you’re encouraged to drum up excitement for one on the organizers’ still active Facebook page. Get on that. Your self-worth is on the line (and also a cash prize for the winner because that’s one of the perks of no longer being 12).
