Nathan’s
Pretty much the culinary opposite of Maison Premiere, Nathan’s represents the gluttonous and wasteful and preservative-laden side of American cuisine. But you know what? For this one day? Just don’t worry about it. Instead get to Nathan’s to watch the competition (the women start at 11:30 am, the men at 12:30 pm) and cheer on Joey Chestnut to win it all. I mean, if this country can make a man named Joey Chestnut a star, then anything is possible. After the competition is over, go get yourself a hot dog or two of your own. Because, actually, they’re pretty satisfying.
