Kosciusko Pool
The “K” Pool (as it’s commonly called) was designed by Bed-Stuy native Morris Lapidus who is perhaps better known as the man who designed the famous pool at the Fountainbleu Hotel in Miami. The pool underwent an extensive two million dollar renovation under Giuliani and so is about as state-of-the-art as any public pool can be. There is an Olympic pool here as well as a wading pool for the little ones, and the lap lanes are generally pretty empty, so it’s ideal for those of you who take your swimming seriously. Also, it’s just a few blocks away from new bar Dynaco, so feel free to indulge in a whiskey and slice of chocolate cake post-swim.
