Where to Spend Father’s Day in Brooklyn

For the man who doesn’t care much for hoity toity trappings and pedigreed cocktails, only a dive bar will do. Thank goodness for Brooklyn Ice House, where dirt cheap PBR’s flow like, well, PBR’s, and the décor runs to mismatched furniture, splintered wood walls, and an assemblage of dusty board games piled by the front window. Of course, there’s always the surprisingly spacious backyard if you want to class things up a little. Order up some seriously tasty (and infinitely affordable) grub, like pulled pork sandwiches, bacon-wrapped hot dogs, and the Cheesy Pete… two grilled cheese sandwiches accompanied by a side of crispy fries.
