Brooklyn’s Racist Fucking Real Estate
In 1987, housing discrimination was on the rise in New York, the Times reported. A great example was in Brooklyn, where a Kings Highway realtor became the subject of a class-action suit for racial steering. The company had already been the subject of three previous lawsuits, which were settled out of court. Also accused in the class-action suit were the owners of 13 apartment buildings in Sheepshead Bay and Midwood. [photo]
