Doomsday Prepping in Brooklyn, A Field Guide
Knives, Axes, Something Called a “Chinese Survival Shovel with Knife Blade Edges”
In the Zombie Survival Handbook—and, let’s face it, if the world is ending, there’s bound to be zombies—author Max Brooks writes, “Blades don’t need reloading.” Which, so true. They don’t. They just need you to have a steady hand and know what you’re doing as you swing wildly at people, trying to inflict as much damage as possible. Also, blades can come in handy in case you need to do emergency surgery. Like, say you need to deliver a baby. A baby who is mankind’s last hope. And that baby’s head gets stuck, because that baby has one hell of a big head. An axe can allow you to perform an emergency C-section, thus ensuring that humanity will continue. Definitely pack a blade of some sort.
